BikeTracker Privacy Policy

BikeTracker is a bicycle maintenance tracking app that connects to Strava to monitor component wear based on your riding activity.

Data We Collect

When you connect your Strava account, BikeTracker collects and stores the following data:

• Your Strava athlete ID
• Your Strava access and refresh tokens
• Your cycling activity distances and dates
• The bike associated with each activity

We do not collect your name, email address, location data, heart rate, power data, or any other personal information beyond what is listed above.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to calculate bicycle component wear based on distance ridden. It is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising purposes.

Where Your Data Is Stored

Your activity data is stored securely in a cloud database. Your Strava credentials are never stored in the app itself and are handled securely on our servers. Data is retained only for as long as you use the app.

Third Party Services

BikeTracker uses the following third party services:

• Strava - to retrieve your cycling activity data. Strava's privacy policy is available at strava.com/legal/privacy
• Google AdMob - to serve banner advertisements on the free tier. AdMob may collect anonymised device identifiers for ad serving purposes. No Strava data is passed to AdMob.
• Apple StoreKit - to process subscription payments for the ad-free tier

Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time by tapping Disconnect Strava and Delete My Data in the app settings. This will permanently delete all your activity data from our servers and revoke BikeTracker's access to your Strava account.

Strava Data Usage

BikeTracker is powered by Strava. We comply with all Strava API agreement requirements. Activity data retrieved from Strava is cached for no longer than 7 days.

Push Notifications

BikeTracker may send push notifications to alert you when bicycle components are approaching their recommended replacement intervals. You can disable these at any time in your iPhone Settings.

Children's Privacy

BikeTracker is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last updated.
